Jamaica/Cuba Eye Care Programme Screening Schedule for the Months of November & December 2011 PDF Print E-mail

The Jamaica/Cuba Eye Care Programme will be conducting screening sessions on Fridays at the National Chest Hospital, 36 ½ Barbican Road, Kingston 6 on the following days:  November 11th, 18th & 25th, and December on the 2nd and 9th.

 

Persons will be screened for the following conditions only:-

 

  • Cataract
  • Pterygium (Fleshy growth on eye) and
  • Diabetic Retinopathy

 

The public is advised that the programme is not in a position at this time to provide assistance to those persons seeking treatment for conditions not listed above, nor those seeking treatment for children. Persons must take along the following:

 

  • A referral from a Public Health Facility
  • A valid I.D (Passport/Driver’s Licence/National ID, or certified passport size photograph with TRN)

Please note that persons will be turned back if they fail to meet these requirements. Selected persons will be asked to provide us with two (2) contact telephone numbers. The public will be duly notified of other upcoming screening sessions across the island. PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL OUR SERVICES ARE FREE
