The Council for Professions Supplementary to Medicine is a Public Body established under the Professions Supplementary to Medicine Act of 1969, and accompanying Regulations 1974 and 2005.
The Council is headed by a Chairman and reports to the Minister of Health. The functions of the Council are to:
Composition and operation of the Council All members of the Council are appointed by the Minister of Health, one of whom is designated by him as Chairman:
Each representative member has an alternate who may act as a member at any meeting, which the representative member is unable to attend. Members hold office for three (3) years. There is no restriction to re-appointment.
The Council meets on the 1st Thursday of each month. |
