MANDATE

In keeping with a mandate from the Honourable Prime Minister to transform the public sector, the Ministry of Health has embarked on a Ministry-wide restructuring exercise. An Inter-disciplinary Transition Team (IDTT) has been established to lead the Ministry’s restructuring exercise. Its strategic objectives are to:

1. To improve the Ministry’s cost efficiency;
2. To reduce the cost of the bureaucracy to GoJ Budget; and
3. To ensure smooth implementation of the exercise

To manage the restructuring exercise across the Health Ministry bureaucracy in a fair, transparent and timely manner.

GOVERNANCE STRUCTURE

The IDTT reports to the Permanent Secretary and is the day to day link between the Ministry and the Public Sector Restructuring Unit at Office of the Cabinet and the various entities of the Ministry.
