Dear
In reply to our letter enquiring about registration
in Jamaica, the following documents are required:
a) Letter of application stating work experience
since graduation or for the past six (6) years.
b)
Certified photocopy of your birth certificate and marriage certificate.
c)
Certified photocopy of your certificate/diploma from your school/college
of nursing.
d)
Certified photocopy of your CURRENT certificate of registration/licence.
e)
A transcript of the course you took showing number of hors of
instruction and clinical practice.
This is to be sent directly from your /college of nursing o this
Council.
f) Two recent professional references on your
behalf to be sent directly to the council by the individuals providing
them, preferably from your supervisors with whom you have worked.
g)
A certified/notarized passport size photograph.
h)
A certified copy of Job Office Letter from Jamaican employer.
i)
Process fee of one thousand Jamaican dollars (J$1,000.00) or its
equivalent (not refundable) for each registration.
The Process fee is to be submitted with the documents.
As soon as you have paid the process fee and submitted
the required documents your application will be processed.
On approval of your application, a registration
fee will be required for:
Special/Temporary Registration in the first instance,
for three (3) months - one thousand Jamaican dollars (J$1,000.00).
Upon satisfactory evaluation of our three (3) months performance,
your application will be further reviewed by the council for permanent
registration – on e thousand five hundred dollars (J$1,500.00).
Personal cheques are not accepted
Fees
should be submitted in either Bankdrafts, Money/Postal orders,
Managers’ Cheque or Cash.
