Salary: $ 12,481,200 – $14,836,225 per annum
JOB PURPOSE
To ensure the development of adequate child & adolescent mental health services nationally, for clients from birth to eighteen years and to promote the development of preventative programs conducive to the acquisition of good mental health in children & adolescents.
KEY OUTPUT
· Strategic & operational plans developed;
· Norms, standards & procedures established and adhered to;
· Technical advice facilitated (referral point for technical problems);
· Provision of adequate treatment for clients with emotional & behavioral problems;
· Data collected & analyzed;
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
· Liaises with key governmental & non-governmental agencies;
· Manage & coordinates all aspects of the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services in the public sector island wide;
· Monitors & evaluates service delivery for the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services, including the impact of the programme on society;
· Develops special projects to strengthen the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services in terms of resources, efficiency
· Plans & provides training for health workers within the public sector;
· Promotes good Child & Adolescent Mental Health through public education, behavioral & lifestyle change
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Graduate from an accredited Medical School, management training
Postgraduate qualification in a specialty plus seven (7) years progressive and responsible experience with the specialty. Plus Peer Approval duly signed by relevant personnel.
