The Ministry of Health & Wellness will host its 14th staging of the National Health Research Conference (NHRC), from November 15-17, 2023, appropriately themed “Taking Responsibility: Our Health and Wellness in Focus”. Today, July 18, 2023, marks the official launch of the Call for Abstracts for the annual health research conference.
Researchers, including clinicians, nurses, researchers, lecturers, STEM students, and other health affiliated professionals, are invited to submit high quality research under the themes: Mental Health; Non-Communicable Diseases; Reproductive Health; Technology in Health or Climate Change. Other high-quality research outside these themes is also welcomed. The deadline for submission of abstracts is Friday, September 8, 2023. Submissions will only be accepted via the National Health Research Conference webpage: https://www.moh.gov.jm/nhrc-submit
The 14th NHRC is a significant forum for medical and scientific knowledge that translates to improved policy and practice for the Ministry and the wider public health system. Stakeholders from wide-cross section of health institutions, non-governmental organisations and research-based institutions and universities gather together to discuss relevant topics for local and regional healthcare and research.
