Certificates
The Dental Act of Jamaica mandates under Section 9A that persons practicing dentistry in Jamaica MUST obtain a Practicing Certificate. This is a reminder from the Dental Council of Jamaica (DCJ) that the Biennial Practicing Certificates for the years 2015 – 2017 have been due since April 1, 2015. Consequently, the Dental Council of Jamaica has decided that those Dentists who have not obtained their Practicing Certificate to date will be given a period of extension until, Monday November 23, 2015 to obtain those Certificates. Practicing Certificates will be issued based on the provision of 10 hours of Continuing Dental Education and payment of the requisite fees inclusive of a late payment charge.
