This invitation for bids follows the general procurement notice for this project that appeared in Development Business No. IDB452-04/19 of April 26, 2019.
The Government of Jamaica, through the Ministry of Health and Wellness, has received a loan from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) toward the cost of the Support for The Health System Strengthening for The Prevention and Care Management of Non-Communicable Disease Programme and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for Procurement of Civil Works for Spanish Town Hospital Renovation and Extension.
The Ministry of Health and Wellness now invites bids from all eligible and qualified bidders for Procurement of Civil Works for Spanish Town Hospital Renovation and Extension. The delivery construction period is Twenty-Three (23) months.
Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (ICB) procedures specified in the Inter-American Development Bank: Policies for the Procurement of Goods and Works financed by the Inter-American Development Bank GN-2349-9 and is open to all bidders from all countries as defined in the guidelines.

Bids must be submitted electronically on (GOJEP) by 3:00 P.M on October 11, 2022. Bidders have the option of submitting bids physically/ offline (hard copies) to the address below if documents are above 99MB. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened at 3:15 P.M on October 11, 2022 in the presence of bidders’ representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below. Bidders are therefore urged to commence bid upload at least two (2) hours prior to the submission time. The Procuring Entity will not be held liable for bids not submitted on time due to the late commencement of bid upload. The Ministry of Health and Wellness reserves the right to terminate the bid process at any point before the award of contract without incurring any liability to any of the participants.
